The year is 2480, and Earth is no longer a hospitable place. Could the empty oil wells hold a glimmer of hope, perhaps a salvation? Sjur Miljeteig has crafted a sci-fi-inspired sonic universe, rooted in synth nostalgia, abstract sound collages, and improvised trumpet. Ane Dahl Torp delivers the text. «Solaris korrigert,» written by Øyvind Rimbereid, was presented as a full-scale theatrical production on the main stage of Det Norske Teatret in the fall of 2015/spring of 2016, earning accolades and several Hedda Awards. Sjur Miljeteig’s musical composition and Ane Dahl Torp’s portrayal of the protagonist ‘Aig’ were particularly praised. The production was honored as the ‘Performance of the Year’ by the Hedda Jury, and it received a nomination for the Music Theatre Prize. In this concert version, Miljeteig’s music and the text itself take on an even more prominent role.
